Development of PLASTIC BEARING HOUSINGS resulted
from a strong demand for non-corrodible bearing units for machinery in
the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. R.A. Rodriguez pioneered
the introduction and usage of these products in Europe and are the market
leaders in this field.
The precision molded plastic housings are made to close tolerances from high grade glass fibre filled thermoplastic material. The housings tough, wear and shock resistant and resist most alkaline, low acid (pH 4-9) and salt solutions. Unlike conventional cast iron housings their smooth surface is easily cleaned, and they will not corrode or promote the growth of micro-organisms: there is no coating to chip or scratch.
Housings in stainless steel are also available.
