Development of PLASTIC BEARING HOUSING resulted from a strong demand for non-corrodible bearing units for machinery in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. R.A. Rodriguez pioneered the introduction and usage of these products in Europe and are the market leaders in this field.
The precision molded plastic housings are made to close tolerances from high grade glass fibre filled thermoplastic material. The housings tough, wear and shock resistant and resist most alkaline, low acid (pH 4-9) and salt solutions. Unlike conventional cast iron housings their smooth surface is easily cleaned, and they will not corrode or promote the growth of micro-organisms: there is no coating to chip or scratch.
The thermoplastic polyester used is characterized by its excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals, including aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, oils and fats, alcohol, glycol's, ethers, high molecular weight esters and ketones, dilute acids and bases, detergent's and most aqueous salt solutions. The Greenlign/Redlign range consist of eight basic housing types, which are interchangeable with conventional cast iron units, as follows:-

Each housing type is available in various sizes to accomodate Self Aligning Insert Bearing With Bore Diameter from 12mm to 50mm and 3/4" to 1 1/4".
