Duplex lead worms and worm gears
Duplex lead worms have different leads and lead angles within the lenght of the worm threads. After the mesh is set, users can easily obtain desired backlash by shifting the worm in the axial direction. These highly wear resistant worms are available both in through bore and integral shaft designs.

Ground worms and worm gears
KHK's high grade ground worms and worm gears are especiallly designed to be used in high effiecency and high reduction ratio situations. Teeth surfaces of the worms are ground after induction hardening. These products are offered in modules 0.5 to 6 and reduction ratios from 1/10 to 1/60.

Standard worm gear sets come in modules 0.8 to 6 and gear ratios from 1/10 to 1/120. KHK supplies right hand as well as left hand thread sets.

  Crossed helical gears
These gears are offered in four materials:steel, stainless steel, cast aluminum bronze and nylon. Sizes come in modules 1 to 4 and 10 to 30 teeth.

Rachets and Pawls
Teeth of rachets are induction hardened to prevent wear. Rachets are offered in hubbed and hubless designs.
Pawls are also available.

Involute spline and spline bushings
These are heat treated and have the module of exactly 1.667.

Gear Couplings
These are much easier to assemble compared to the conventional chain couplings and are suitable for dynamic testing equipments. Teeth surfaces are quenched and tempered, and the entire surface is zinc unichromic electroplated.
